Yoga Therapy

According to the International Association of Yoga Therapist (IAYT), "yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of the teachings and practices of Yoga." Yoga therapy is a practice that is tailored specifically to the individual.  Oftentimes, those who seek yoga therapy, do so as a means to seek therapy for a physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual dis-ease. Sessions includes one-on-one personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, breathwork, asanas, meditation, and relaxation to help aid in managing underlying conditions and symptoms. Yoga therapy is not intended to cure, it's intention is to bring awareness and integrate the mind-body system. It's an alternative holistic approach to health and wellness.


Here at Alive Meditation Yoga, it is our goal to support the wellness journey of our clientele. We are available to partner with other health care providers (doctor of medicine or osteopathy, podiatrist, dentist, chiropractor, clinical psychologist, counselors, optometrist, nurse practitioner, nurse-midwife, clinical social worker, etc.) to help facilitate clients in their endeavors.
